Advice on legal matters related to HIV – a service provided by the Swiss AIDS Federation
The objective of the Swiss AIDS Federation's “HIV/AIDS and the Law” advisory service is to strive for the improvement of the rights of people with HIV/AIDS. Indeed, this has been among the key aims of the Swiss AIDS Federation since it was founded in 1985.
What we offer
People with HIV/AIDS and their family members, advisors and counselors in AIDS organisations, social service workers and hospital staff, doctors, employers and other interested parties can consult us at the Swiss AIDS Federation Advisory Service by phone or in written form on legal matters which relate directly to the subject of HIV/AIDS. We answer questions in the following fields:
- Social Security Law
- Social Welfare
- Private Insurances
- Employment Law
- Data Protection Law
- Patients' Rights
- Immigration and Residence Rights.
For personal advice on all matters relating to HIV and AIDS please contact your local AIDS Advisory Service.
We clarify matters, provide information, give counsel and mediate. Depending on the case, we will answer your questions on the phone or in writing. All enquiries will be dealt with in the strictest confidence. Our services are free of charge.
